The club is disappointed to have to announce that Gary McCann has decided to step down from his managerial role at Hendon in order to take up a similar role at National League South club Hampton and Richmond Borough.

Gary's commitment to the Hendon cause, first as player and then as our longest serving manager, has been unparalleled and we thank him for everything he has done for us since first joining the club back in March 1997. We wish Gary and his family all the best for the future.

Looking to the club's future, the Board would like to hear from candidates who are confident of managing at Step 3 or above and who would like the opportunity to fill our vacant managerial role.

Expressions of interest (including CVs) should be sent to Daz Bloor, Hendon secretary, at hendonfc@freenetname.co.uk.

All such expressions of interest should be received by 9pm on Wednesday 30 May and will be treated in complete confidence.

We will, of course, announce our new manager in due course.
