Niko Muir and Josh Walker both hit doubles this afternoon as the first team beat Billericay Town 4-1 in front of the highest crowd of the season at SJP.
462 were in attendance to view a goalless first half and then see the game taken away in nine second half minutes as the Greens scored three goals. The opener came in the 55th minute when Muir scored a penalty after Zak Joseph was fouled by Jack Giddens. Muir then doubled the lead five minutes later, and in the 63rd minute, Walker scored his first of the afternoon,
Billericay pulled themselves back into the game in the 82nd minute when Jamie O'Hara scored superb freekick from the edge of the area, but the visitors were dealt a further blow shortly afterwards as Adam Cunnington had to leave the field with a nasty looking facial injury sustained in a goalmouth scramble, leaving them with ten men.
The final goal came in the second minute of stoppage time when Walker fired the ball home, meaning that the Greens moved back into the play-offs courtesy of Staines Town's defeat to Leiston.
