The first team were beaten 4-0 by a Staines Town side who were ultimately more clinical in front of goal, and more solid in defence than the Greens.
The home side, who like the Greens have been involved in the race for the play-offs all season, took the lead through Elliot Buchanan in the 12th minute, and three minutes later Tyrell Miller-Rodney doubled the lead. However, as has been the case so often this season, the young Greens refused to give up and on the stroke of half-time Ashley Nathaniel-George hit the post with a screaming effort that had beaten Conor Hudnott all ends up. Unfortunately Michael Corcoran's diving header on the rebound went wide of the unguarded target.
Within ten minutes of the restart, Max Worsfold finished off a swift counter-attack to make it 3-0, and Wadah Ahmidi completed the scoring in the 68th minute. The Greens kept looking for a way back into the game but were ultimately unable to find the back of the net.
