It was all square at SJP this afternoon - as the first team played out a 1-1 draw with fellow play-off (& possibly title) contenders Margate.
On a mild afternoon it was the Greens who took the lead when Josh Walker scored his 10th goal of the season, the fourth player to reach that mark this season. The goal came in the 3rd minute when Walker beat a couple of challenges to find the back of the net.
The first half was an even affair, Margate probably having the majority of possession, but the Greens having the better chances, but in the 42nd minute the visitors equalised when a shot from Jay May took a wicked deflection to fly high over Tom Lovelock and into the net.
The second half saw both sides defences on top, Margate having the better chances to find a winner, but found Lovelock in unforgiving mood stopping whatever was thrown at him, and eventually the game finished all square.
