The first team completed the seasonal league double over Harrow Borough with a 4-0 win at Earlsmead this afternoon, meaning they have scored 10 goals without reply against the Boro in the league this season.
The first half was largely uneventful until the 38 minute when Josh Walker fired the ball at goal. The ball took a deflection and was touched into his own net by Chinua Cole, but the decision has been made to award Walker with the goal.
The Greens took the game by the scruff of the net in the second half, and doubled the lead in the 48th minute when Dave Diedhiou found the back of the net, and Josh Walker scored his second of the afternoon in the 62nd minute.
The final goal came in the 83rd minute when Josh Walker went on a mazy run into the box, which left Cole chasing shadows and ultimately bringing Walker down. Niko Muir stepped up to confidently convert the spot kick and score his 20th league goal of the season, and his 26th in total.
The result moves the Greens up to 3rd place in the table as they head into the two New Year games against Harlow Town and Wingate & Finchley.
