The first team continued their run of cup progress with a 2-1 win at Hythe Town this evening to reach the quarter-finals of the Velocity Trophy.

Gary McCann gave Cameron Currie a competitive debut, and named new signing William Murphy on the bench, and he in turn made his debut late in the game.

Hythe took the lead in the 4th minute through Sid Sollis, only for Keagan Cole to equalise in the 14th minute. Kezie Ibe put the Greens ahead in the 43rd minute, and the team were able to see the second half out safely to ensure progression.
