It was ultimately a disappointing night for the first team as they conceded two goals in the last ten minutes to draw 3-3 against leaders Dulwich Hamlet. However, at half time it all looked so different with the Greens 3-1 ahead after an outstanding 45 minutes.
Niko Muir had put the Greens ahead in the 6th minute, before Ashley Carew equalised for the visitors. However within a couple of minutes the Greens were back in front when Dave Diedhiou fired a diving bullet header past Preston Edwards following a perfect cross from Zak Joseph. Shortly before half-time Edwards committed a foul in the box and Muir stepped up to convert the spot kick with his 21st goal of the season.
The second half saw the Greens create a number of half chances, but in the 81st minute Dulwich were given a lifeline when Carew converted a penalty after a handball in the box. The Greens were then made to pay for not keeping possession of the ball when Rickie Hayles lashed the ball home in a crowded penalty area with the last kick of the game.
After the final whistle, the Dulwich fans showed their appreciation to the Greens for the support following their recent news.
