The first team bounced back from the weekend defeat with an entertaining 3-0 win over Staines Town at SJP this evening.
The visitors had the better of the opening exchanges, but as the Greens began to grow into the game they took the lead when Niko Muir scored with a fine effort from 20 yards that finished in the bottom corner of the net.
Staines probed for an equaliser in the second period, whilst Hendon were causing problems going forward, and it was the Greens who were on the scoresheet again in the 78th minute when Zak Joseph rolled the ball into the net.
The final goal came as the match moved into stoppage time, when Muir scored his second of the night after fine build up play involving a number of players.
Mention must also be made of the defensive performance, which was solid and uncompromsing in ensuring the clean sheet was kept.
