It was ultimately a day of disappointment for the first team this afternoon as they lost 3-2 at Folkestone Invicta. Yet, just four minutes into the second half, they were in control of the game after Niko Muir had scored twice in quick succession after the break to take his tally for the season to 10.
The first half was a goalless affair with both sides having chances but not having the cutting edge to find the back of the net.
After Muir had scored his quickfire brace, Invicta were awarded a penalty which was duly converted by Adam Yusuff. Both sides continued to create chances, with Josh Walker hitting the post, but it was the home side who scored next when Josh Vincent equalised in the 70th minute. As both sides searched for the winner, it was the home side who found it as Joe Taylor scored six minutes from time.
