Wealdstone were the deserving winners of this afternoon's local derby, coming away from Vale Farm with a 3-2 win. This was despite the Greens taking a 6th minute lead through debutant Anthony Thomas.

The Stones equalised in the 15th minute through Darren Locke, and within 3 minutes they were ahead when Callum Martin found the back of the net. Shortly before the half hour mark, Martin scored his second of the afternoon with an excellent finish.

The Greens battled back in the second period, and created a number of chances. However, only one was converted when Casey Maclaren volleyed the ball home in the 73rd minute. James Bent was sent off late on for a second caution, and Wealdstone were able to hold on for the win.
