The first team's interest in the FA Cup came to an early end tonight as they were beaten 4-2 after extra time at Wingate & Finchley.

The first half belonged to the home side, and just like Saturday, they took the lead courtesy of a Spencer McCall free-kick following a foul just outside the area. Rob Laney then made it 2-0 shortly before half-time.

The Greens showed determination to get back into the game in the second period and were rewarded in the 51st minute when Niko Muir scored. They continued to put pressure on the home side, and the equaliser came courtesy of Muir in the 87th minute to take the game into extra time.

Ahmet Rifat restored the home side's advantage five minutes into the first period of extra time, and whilst the Greens tried to find a way back into the game, the defeat was confirmed on the stroke of full time when McCall scored his second of the evening.
