The Greens put in a good performance this afternoon against a Hemel Hempstead Town side and ran out 3-1 winners.
The opening goal came in the 29th minute when Niko Muir converted a penalty after Kezie Ibe had been fouled in the 18 yard box. Within 60 seconds, Muir scored his second when he was sent clear of the defensive line and he slid the ball home off the post. In the period before half time, Melvin Minter made two excellent saves to keep the two goal lead.
Hemel pulled a goal back in the 58th minute, but the Greens made the game safe when Tarum Dawkins fired home.
In the other game this afternoon, Hitchin Town beat Hayes & Yeading United 2-0, so the Greens will play the Canaries at 3:30pm in the final of the SJP Community Cup after Hemel and Hayes have played the 3rd/4th play-off.
