It was another very disappointing evening for the first team as they were soundly beaten 4-0 by bottom of the table Grays Athletic. The result leaves the Greens firmly embroiled in the battle against relegation as their season reaches the halfway mark.
The visitors, who have now won three games in a row, took the lead in the 4th minute through Lheureux Menga, and just a few minutes later the lead was doubled when poor defending allowed Joao Carlos to score.
The Greens had plenty of chances in the first half, but were unable to covert them, whilst Grays converted the chances that came their way. Sam Murphy missed a penalty, whilst Kezie Ibe had a goal struck off for offside.
The second half performance started awfully as Kieran Bishop scored within a minute of the game restarting, and the same player completed the scoring just after the hour mark.
The Greens last game before Christmas is a tough test, as they travel to high flying Needham Market on Saturday afternoon.
