The club have announced this evening that popular left-back Ollie Sprague has left the club and has joined Billericay Town. As Ollie was a contracted player an undisclosed fee has been agreed between the two clubs for his transfer.

Chairman Simon Lawrence said, "The club has no wish to stand in any player's way, so we entered into discussed with Billericay, and having agreed a feww, we allowed Ollie to discuss personal terms."

Gary McCann said, "It's frustrating to have lost another player for financial reasons, but there isn't anything we can do. Ollie goes with our best wishes and thanks for his efforts over the past two years.

"However, there has been a much bigger loss to the club today with the news of the passing of Geraldine Clarke. She has been an important part of the club for many years and we will all miss her greatly. On behalf of the squad and my backroom staff, I'd like to send Sandra Wood and all the family our deepest condolences at this very sad time."
