The first team played out a goalless draw with Canvey Island this evening, to secure their first league clean sheet of the season.

Both sides had chances to score, in the first half Niko Muir shot wide after Keagan Cole had beaten three challenges to play the ball into Muir's path, whilst Canvey had one chance fly narrowly wide of the post.

The second half saw both sides struggle to find the target, but the Greens were denied what appeared to be a nailed on penalty after Jerome Federico was fouled in the box by John Mbamarah, but the officials ruled that there had not been any offence. Shortly afterwards Muir curled an effort over from 20 yards, whilst both sides had chances cleared off the line - the Greens coming from a glancing header from Bradley Hewitt.

Next up is a trip to Bognor Regis Town on Saturday afternoon. Kick off at Nyewood Lane is at 3:00pm.
