The first team made their almost annual early exit from the FA Trophy as they were thrashed 5-0 at Leiston. Their cause was made tougher after Casey Maclaren was sent off after half an hour for two yellow cards.
Leiston had already taken the lead in the 22nd minute through Matt Blake, and as has been the case a few times this season, a lack of resilience was shown, and Blake and then Christy Finch scored to make it 3-0 at half-time.
Further goals from Finch and Gareth Heath completed the rout, and the Suffolk side progressed comfortably into the next round.
The next game for the Greens is on Tuesday night at home to Kingstonian - subject to our opponents not drawing against Lewes in the FA Trophy tomorrow.
