Karl Oliyide netted an equaliser two minutes from time to earn the Greens a point in a 1-1 draw against Burgess Hill Town.
On a sultry evening at Silver Jubilee Park, Hendon controlled the first 20 minutes, with their best chance falling to Kezie Ibe who tried to divert Chris Seeby's cross-shot into the net, but saw the ball fly wide.
The visitors were the better side for the next 50 minutes and were rewarded in the 70th minute when Daniel Thompson slammed the ball home from close range.
This seemed to spark the Greens into action and they created a number of chances, one of which was turned home by Oliyide. A chance for a late winner went begging when Kezie Ibe appeared to be fouled just outside the penalty area, but the officials ruled that there had been no offence.
Next up is a trip to Merstham on Saturday afternoon, kick off 3.00pm
