We are delighted to announce that Silver Jubilee Park has been recommended for a C grade, following a visit from the FA ground graders yesterday.
This means that once all the paperwork has been completed, we will be able to play all our home games at SJP. This should happen shortly.
An awful lot of hard work has gone into bringing our new home up to the appropriate standard to enable us to play Ryman League Premier Division football there, not least from Rob Morris who has masterminded the upgrade, and has spent many many hours working hard, along with Tom Stockman.
We would also like to thank all those supporters, players and contractors who have contributed to the work.
However, the hard work doesn't stop here. This is just the beginning of a new chapter in the club's history. We now need to work hard to lay the foundations for our future.
As our twitter feed mentioned yesterday, the move to SJP will bring us back to within a Curtis Warmington clearance of our spiritual home, and we need to begin reaching out to past and potential supporters.
We can only do this by everyone pulling together. Remember - Hendon Football Club belongs to the supporters - so please spread the word, invite people along, and if you have any ideas for fundraising or collaborations that'll raise the club's profile, please speak to any member of the trust board or association committee.
After eight years living a nomadic existence, we have a fantastic opportunity to grow Hendon Football Club.
