The first team have one final game to play this season as they face Tooting & Mitcham United in the London Senior Cup Final - a repeat of last year's final. Last year the Greens ran out 3-2 winners after extra time, despite having to play 50 minutes with ten men. Aaron Morgan (2) and Kezie Ibe were on the scoresheet.
This is the 14th time the Greens have appeared in the final of the competition, and the 7th in eleven seasons, winning it five times so far. As well as last year's win, the cup was won in 1964 (1-0 v Enfield), 1969 (1-0 v Dagenham), 2009 (2-2 v Croydon Athletic - won 3-1 on penalties) and 2012 (2-0 v Kingstonian).
The defeats in the final came in 1936 (0-1 v Walthamstow Avenue), 1951 (3-4 v Bromley), 1955 (2-3 v Walthamstow Avenue), 1959 (2-5 v Tooting & Mitcham United), 1972 (0-2 v Enfield), 2006 (2-3 v Fisher Athletic), 2008 (2-3 v Tooting & Mitcham United), 2011 (1-3 v Wingate & Finchley).
The squad are continuing to train during the ten day break since the defeat at Bognor Regis Town, and Gary McCann is hoping that one or two of the injured players will be in contention for a place in the matchday squad.
The game takes place at Metropolitan Police's Imber Court ground, and kicks off at 7.30pm on Wednesday evening.
