Gary McCann and his players spent a long time talking after the 3-2 defeat at home to Leatherhead. To say the manager was angry with the performance would be an understatement as he said, "I thought we were lucky to lose by only one goal.
"It would have been far worse but for a heroic performance by Joe Wright. Our goalkeeper kept the score down with a string of great saves.
"You can't help but have sleepless night after that performance. It was so disappointing.
"We made two changes simply because the two players who come off were running on empty after putting so much in. Even though we were leading 2-1, The performance and context of the game had a feeling we would concede again. Too many players were not performing anywhere near well enough.
"I don't have to lambast players in public, but all were made aware of their shortfalls. I will be addressing this further and other issues with a number of players and the team that will be selected Saturday will have to see changes where possible. We have to be better in many aspects of our play."
