The club was saddened to hear of the death of long-time supporter Dave Clarke who passed away early on Friday evening after a short illness.

Dave, who was married to Geraldine for 38 years, had supported the club since the early 70's. He built the old tea hut at Claremont Road, rebuilt the stand wall and laid the foundations for the club shop.

Dave, who sold match programmes for many years, was always on call to lend a hand when asked and was a deserving winner of the Supporter of the Year.

The club will be observing a minute's silence in memory of Dave at Saturday's match against Hampton. In the meantime, we would like to pass on our condolences to Geraldine, to Sandra and Tony Wood, Janet and John Neville and to all of Dave's nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews."
