We are making excellent progress and still on schedule to achieve the 31st March deadline for ensuring Silver Jubilee Park attains the required ground grading.
The spectator rail has been finished and the gates installed around the pitch. The hand rail has made a significant difference to the appearance of the ground.
The disabled stand base and the turnstile base will be complete on Thursday with new entrance gates installed. The old turnstile hut will be demolished on Monday and the new hand rail around the entrance will be complete.
The container that is currently in the car park at Earlsmead will be moved to SJP on Tuesday and be positioned near the new entrance gates. This will be partially converted to accommodate a club shop, which will then be in prime position for maximum customer flow.
The toilets are being fitted with the sanitary ware and will be completed in the next two weeks.
The Officials rooms have been boarded, plastered and now decorated. One will be functional with shower and toilet for Edgware's home game this Saturday. The home changing room is going to be of good size which will please Gary and the first team. Walls have been knocked down and the old bath demolished. Unfortunately the roof is full of holes and requires immediate repair which wasn't budgeted for. Also the central heating pipe was cut which hasn't helped during this cold spell. This resulted in a burst pipe in one of the officials rooms that had just been decorated. Two walls that were going to be removed no longer need to be and so we have been able to make up the time lost on burst pipes.
Please come along to the London Senior Cup tie against Croydon on Tuesday 9th February if you are able as it will give you a chance to see all the changes that have taken place over the past couple of months.
