The weather has been kind to us again this week and has enabled the works to remain largely on schedule.
The new spectator rails were delivered on Monday and have been installed around half the pitch already. The first team saw the rail on Monday and were delighted with the look and agreed the ground was beginning to look better. The rail will be complete in the next few days weather permitting.
The outside toilets have been boarded and plastered and are now ready to be fitted by our first team plumbing expert Dean Cracknell and his company. The referees room has also been plastered and shower area tiled.
The changing rooms are next and we are devising a plan so matches can still be played whilst the refurbishment is taking place.
It was hoped that the dry changing room would be started this weekend, but the team are not able to get on site for another couple of weeks. This is our first setback but won't affect the completion date or the ground grading inspection.
We will need a working party in about a months time on a Sunday (date to be announced) to help with the clearing up of the site. This will include clearing some debris, removing moss and weeds from terracing, small painting jobs and erecting health and safety signs. Anyone interested in helping should contact Rob Morris via the club email address - admin@hendonfc.net
