We are pleased to say that things are progressing well with the works at Silver Jubilee Park.
Rob Morris has reported that the bases for the stands have been excavated and boarded, the steel reinforcements are in place, and they are now ready to be filled with concrete. The stands should be delivered mid January and it is estimated that they will be finished by the beginning of February if there are no delays.
The foundations for the extension which will house the outside toilets including disabled facilities have been excavated and filled with concrete. Today the first bricks are being laid, and the builders are keen to get the outer wall finished before any bad weather sets in.
The spectator rail is being manufactured and will be at SJP in a couple of weeks. It will be fitted in sections so that there is the minimum disruption to activities at the ground. The rail should be fitted at tested by the end of January.
As work progresses we will continue to keep you all updated.
