Gary McCann was not pleased with what he saw against Metropolitan Police and said. "It was very disappointing to lose this way.
"In the first half, and the first 10 minutes of the second half I think we were good enough to be at least a couple of goals in front. I don't think they had more than a couple of attempts at goal. We missed gilt-edged changes in the opening half. That again proved costly.
"When we went a goal behind it was as if a light was switched out. We made changes to get back into the game, but none of the substitutes really contributed.
"We are not where we need to be in terms of confidence, but we are not far away. At the moment, we need to be in front and if we aren't, the confidence drains away. When we go behind, our powers of recovery have to be better. Senior and key players need to be more responsive.
"There will be changes for the Kingstonian cup game, and this not because it is the League Cup, but with a view to the team on Saturday. We are really missing Aaron Morgan and it will be good to have him back on Saturday."
