Hendon's search for their first league points of 2008 continues after they lost 1-0 at AFC Hornchurch this afternoon. The decisive goal came on the stroke of half-time when Jamie Richards poked the ball home in a goalmouth scramble despite the Greens having the better of the first period. The Green's best chances came when both Sam Collins and Brian Haule saw their shots come off the woodwork. In the second half Lubo Guentchev fired narrowly over the bar, whilst the Hornchurch keeper was forced to make one fine save. However, at the other end, Hornchurch failed to test Richard Wilmot and the Greens were perhaps unfortunate not to come away from the game with a point.
