It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the passing of former player Pat Austin. Pat, who was 88, died on 30th April and his funeral took place on 14th May.

Pat made his debut for the club on 24th September 1949 in a 5-1 win over Sutton United, and over a period of nine seasons he went on to make 251 appearances, scoring 6 goals, playing an important part in the squad through much of the 1950s.

Everyone associated with the club sends their condolences to Pat's family and friends at this very sad time.
