The provisional league constitution was released by the FA Leagues Committee last week and now that the result of our play-off is known, we can bring it to you.
Coming down from Conference South are Farnborough and Staines Town. Both are familiar names, although we have yet to play Farnborough in their current incarnation as they reformed a few years ago. Of course, we have a long history of playing against Staines over many years.
The four clubs coming up are all sides we have never faced in league action before, although we have played two of them in the past.
Coming up from Division One North are Brentwood Town - who beat us 2-0 in the 2nd round of the FA Cup in 1969/70, and Needham Market, whilst from Division One South are Merstham - who we beat 2-0 in the 1st qualifying round of the FA Cup in 1982/83, and Burgess Hill Town.
There have been no reprieves from relegation in our division this season, so Peacehaven & Telscombe, AFC Hornchurch, Witham Town and Bury Town will all be playing a level below us next term.
The constitution will be confirmed at the Ryman League AGM in a few weeks time, and the full list is expected to be as follows :
Billericay Town, Bognor Regis Town, Brentwood Town, Burgess Hill Town, Canvey Island, Dulwich Hamlet, East Thurrock United, Enfield Town, Farnborough, Grays Athletic, Hampton & Richmond Borough, Harrow Borough, Hendon, Kingstonian, Leatherhead, Leiston, Lewes, Merstham, Metropolitan Police, Needham Market, Staines Town, Tonbridge Angels, VCD Athletic, Wingate & Finchley.
