Hendon's season will run to a 66th and final game as they progressed to the play-off final after beating Metropolitan Police 2-1 at Earlsmead this evening.

The visitors, who only had their play-off spot confirmed on Tuesday afternoon, took the lead in the 17th minute when Charlie Collins converted a spot kick, but the Greens were back on level terms fifteen minutes later after Casey Maclaren headed home a corner.

Early in the second half, Andre Da Costa scored another goal of the season contender with a curling effort to put Hendon in front.

The Police's task was made much tougher in the 77th minute when Rob Bartley was sent off, and then as the game moved into stoppage time, their keeper Stuart Searle, reportedly playing his last game in senior football, was dismissed for handling outside the area.

The final will take place at Earlsmead on Sunday afternoon, kicking off at 3.00pm, and our opponents will be Margate, who beat Dulwich Hamlet by the same scoreline this evening.
