Hendon and Margate played out a pulsating 4-4 draw at Hartsdown Park this evening, the result meaning that Maidstone United are back in pole position in the race for the title.
The Greens took the lead three times, firstly courtesy of a Sam Murphy free kick, his 10th goal of the season, before Ryan Moss equalised for the first time. Elliott Brathwaite headed home just after the half hour mark and that was the final goal of the opening period.
Ryan James equalised for the home side shortly after the restart, only for Charlie Wassmer to head past his own keeper ten minutes later to restore the lead for Hendon. James scored his second of the evening in the 71st minute for another equaliser, before Ryan Moss scored with his head in the 82nd minute. But the Greens refused to be beaten, and Andre Da Costa scored the final goal five minutes from time to ensure the game finished all square.
Next up is a home game against Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday afternoon, kicking of at 3:00pm.
