Manager Gary McCann was very satisfied with the victory over Metropolitan Police last night. He said, "I am really happy with the result. It is a big three points for us, but at this time of the season all games are big.
"We are still entertaining hopes of catching Maidstone, but we need them to have a dip in form. There is a focus and intensity about us – a real steely dertermination.
"It was a defensive display of the highest order. They came at us with great energy in the first 20 minutes of the second half, but we were really solid and there were very few clear openings. In fact, I think we created better and more clear-cut chances despite all their possession."
