Hendon closed the gap on Margate and Dulwich Hamlet this afternoon as they beat Tonbridge Angels 1-0 at Earlsmead.
The result means that the Greens are now two points behind Margate having played the same number of games, and level on points with Dulwich, who have a superior goal difference by one goal, although the South London side have played four games more. It also means that the club are mathematically safe from relegation.
The goal was scored by Kezie Ibe ten minutes into the second half, his 20th goal of the campaign. This means, that with Leon Smith being on 21 goals, it is the first time we've had two players score at least 20 in a season since 1998/99 when Paul Whitmarsh and Junior Lewis scored 42 and 28 respectively.
