Gary McCann was very disappointed following yesterday's defeat at Peacehaven & Telscombe.
"The most disappointing thing was the way that we were off our game," he said. "It was a shocking performance from the kick-off when we lost the ball on the half-way line."
"Too many players under-performed. The conditions were very difficult, but I am not going to use them as an excuse. They were very bad last week and we coped very well with them, but today was a different story.
"However, as bad as we were in the first half, we had a great chance to equalise at the start of the second half. If we had scored then, I am sure we would have gone on to win the game; in fact if he had equalised at any time until we conceded the second I think we would have won.
"We have to remember these are non-league football players and they are at this level because they occasionally have off-days. Unfortunately, we had a number of them today."
