We are sorry to have to announce the resignation of Steve Rogers as Hendon FC Match Secretary and Website Editor. His resignation takes effect from today.
Steve is a well known face around the club and has been an invaluable volunteer for the last 18 years since he first started out selling programmes. Since then, Steve has undertaken a number of official and unofficial roles within the club, including turnstile operator, members' gate operator, matchday organiser, website editor, fixture secretary, as well as occasional scouting trips. He also had spells on the board of the Supporters' Trust and the committee of the Supporters' Association.
A few weeks ago Steve told us of his desire to step away from his existing roles at the club and in the meantime he's been working with Graham Etchell and Phil Rogers to
handover his current club roles with effect from today. As such, we would ask that from today anyone with any queries for the Match Secretary speak to Graham in future, while all website queries now should go to Phil Rogers, who will be picking up day-to-day updates.
We are also aware that Steve has over the years often acted as a general point of contact for the club and we would also ask that in future supporters make their queries through one of the other club officers, via the Club's email address, or the club's Twitter account, both of which are regularly monitored. A list of the current club officials can always be found in the matchday programme and on the Club Information page on the website.
We'd like to thank Steve for all his work for the club over the years and we hope that he enjoys his break from club activities. We'd also like to take the opportunity to thank all our other volunteers, both past and present and remind supporters that we're always looking for new faces to help with day-to-day and matchday tasks. If you do think you might have some time to help out then please do get in touch with either Simon Lawrence or Graham Etchell.
