Gary McCann was pleased to progress in the London Senior Cup last night.

He said: "I thought the boys' attitude tonight was exemplary in conditions the like of which I have not seen before.

"Even so, the performance was nothing like what I expected. We had to change our style in the second half, but we still didn't do that in the way that I wanted.

"But, we did get the job done and that was very important.

"The best news of the night is that we got through the game without any players picking up any injuries."
