Gary McCann was pleased to secure all three points at Bury Town yesterday.
He said: "It was a very scrappy win on a very difficult pitch. We knew it was going to be hard the moment we stepped on it to warm up.
"If we had taken our three good chancres in the second half we wouldn't have been in the position where we nearly lost two points.
"It was a brilliant save by Ben McNamara because it wasn't a bad penalty, and then we got the third goal to put the icing on the cake.
"Would I have been disappointed to have dropped two points - of course yes, but would I have thought it unjust to only get a draw - no, but we had to grind out the win and I'm pleased that we did."
