Hendon beat the newly crowned Ryman League Champions Chelmsford City 2-1 this afternoon in an entertaining game at Claremont Road. The Clarets took the lead when a free-kick from Ollie Berquez left Richard Wilmot stranded in the 17th minute, but the Greens equalised sixteen minutes later when Davis Haule headed home a superb cross from Lubo Guentchev. The winner came five minutes from time when Davis Haule fired home after the Chelmsford keeper, Danny Gay, had parried his first shot. The goal rounded off an excellent second-half performance from the Greens and the result keeps the play-off dream alive for at least another week.
