For the second time this season, Hendon had cup final disappointment as they were beaten 3-2 by a Tooting & Mitcham United side that thoroughly deserved the win. The Ryman Division One South side took the lead early in the first half, before Daniel Dyer finished off a fine move to equalise for the Greens. However, almost immediately Tooting regained the lead, and they were 3-1 ahead early in the second half. There was controversy seven minutes from time when former Hendon keeper Dave King brought down Brian Haule in the area. Despite King appearing to be the last man, the referee only showed a yellow card. Haule stepped up to convert the spot-kick. Hendon then had the better of the last few chances, with Rakatahr Hudson coming closest when he hit the post deep into stoppage-time.
