Hendon's play off dream came to an end this afternoon as they lost 2-1 to local rivals Wealdstone. The Stones took the lead in the 53rd minute courtesy of a Dean Papali penalty, and the lead was doubled seven minutes from time by Nick Salapatas. The consolation for the Greens was scored by Belal Aiteouakrim in the final minute, but it was too little too late.
Despite the disappointment, there is no doubt that the team have achieved great things this season, and their final position has surpassed all expectations throughout the club. Every player contributed so much this season and have built a great base to build on next season.
