The Greens lost their final friendly of pre-season this afternoon, going down 2-0 at Staines Town.
Staines showed that there is a difference at the next step up as they outplayed the Greens in the first half, scoring at either end of the half. Chace O'Neill gave them the lead in the 6th minute as the heavens opened, and Louie Theophanous doubled the lead as he was played onside just before half-time.
The second half performance from Hendon was much improved, but they were out of luck in front of goal despite some good approach work.
The game will have given Gary McCann and his backroom team things to work on in training this week as they make the final preparations for the beginning of the season next weekend.
