Hendon manager Gary McCann was simultaneously satisfied and disappointed with the Northwood result.
He said, "The performance was very disappointing, especially in the first half, but we did have a number of players in unfamiliar positions and two or three triallists who hadn’t appeared before. Even so there were a few players all across the pitch who did not do enough for me.
"That said, I am more than satisfied with the exercise of getting minutes into the legs of the players on duty tonight. It was very important so it is good that we achieved that. Playing five games in eight days is very tiring for everyone concerned.
"We again had a number of very good chances to score in the first half, but didn’t take them. In the second half we were much better and Danny McNicholas probably had no more than four or five touches in the 45 minutes.
"I will probably add only a couple more players to the squad before the start of the season."
