Gary McCann was happy with most of what he saw at Leverstock Green on Thursday evening.
He said, "It was a better collective performance than on Tuesday night, which is what you want in preseason.
"I know we were playing level five teams, but there will be stiffer tests to come, starting with Saturday's game against level four Uxbridge and then against a team at our own level, Chesham United, on Monday night.
"I thought we were very good for the first three periods, and could have scored a few more goals. There were signs that the players were getting know each other better and they worked better. I was also pleased with a number of very good individual performances.
"Only in the final 30 minutes, when we made more changes did we drop off from where we were and we had some players in unusual positions, such as Aaron Morgan at right back, and he did brilliantly there."
