This evening saw a thoroughly entertaining game between the Hendon first team and the Hendon supporters. The final score was 7-7, with the pick of the supporters goals coming from Ricky Lawrence who drove home a fine strike. The supporters team had guest appearances from Gary McCann, Freddie Hyatt, Bontcho Guentchev and Mark Findlay, the latter of whom was one of the goalscorers with a fine header past Marc Leach who was in the goal for the first team at the time.
All of the first team squad took part in the game with the exception of the unavailable Belal Aiteouakrim. However, stand-in manager Iavor Guentchev decided to play everyone out of position. Starring role for the first team went to striker James Burgess who, much to everyone's amazement, scored a hat-trick, whilst there was the strange sight of Richard Wilmot and Luke Blackmore both playing outfield.
