The Isthmian League have confirmed this morning that Wingate & Finchley have been reprieved from relegation.
The reshuffle of the pyramid at Steps 3 & 4 by the FA's Leagues Committee was prompted by the knock-on effects of the resignation of Worksop Town from the Northern Premier League Premier Division last week.
Wingate & FInchley were the Step 3 club with the best record on a points per game basis from the 2013-14 season, and were thus handed the reprieve. As a result, Hayes & Yeading United will now join the Southern League. There has been further reshuffling between the Southern and Northern Premier Leagues as well.
In a related matter, Hayes & Yeading are appealing against their relegation from Conference South. Should they be successful, Oxford City will take their place at Step 3 and will enter the Southern League instead to ensure that a further reallocation is not required.
At Step 4, Ware have been moved back to Ryman Division One North, having been moved to the Southern League, and the resulting space at Step 4 created by Worksop's resignation at has been taken by Kidsgrove Athletic. Again, there has been some reshuffling between the Southern and Northern Premier Leagues.
It is hoped that this will be the last changes to the Constitution but this will not be finalised until the Isthmian League Annual General Meeting on Sunday 15 June.
