Hendon moved into the semi finals of the Middlesex Senior Cup with a 3-2 win over Conference South side Staines Town, having been two goals down at half-time.
Staines took control of the game in the latter stages of the first half with goals from Max Worsfold and Louis Beadle. However, they failed to test the Greens in the second half, particularly after Michael Murray and Jefferson Louis had levelled things up before the hour mark.
The winner came five minutes from time when Anthony Thomas scored his 15th goal of the campaign, and whilst Staines did hit the bar in the dying moments, the Greens held on to progress.
The semi-final will see Hendon face either Hampton & Richmond Borough or Northwood at home - they play their tie tomorrow evening. The date for the semi-final will be advised in due course.
