The club are delighted to announce that director David Bedford has been awarded with an OBE in the 2014 New Years Honours list released this evening.

David, who is a former 10,000 metre world record holder and celebrated his birthday today, has been awarded the OBE for his services to athletics, which includes his work with the London Marathon, including many years as Race Director.

He has been a supporter of the club for many years, and has been a director of the club both under Ivor Arbiter's chairmanship, and also since the Supporters Trust have taken over the running of the club. He is still a regular attender at games, home and away, along with friends and family.

Everyone at the club congratulate David on his thoroughly deserved honour.
