Hendon bounced back from the Boxing Day disappointment to comfortably beat Leiston 3-1 this afternoon at Earlsmead.
The Greens controlled much of the game and it was no surprise when they took the lead when Michael Bryan opened his account for the club with a fine strike from 25 yards just after the half hour mark.
Early in the second half it looked like it might be another one of those days as another soft goal was conceded as Gareth Heath was left unmarked to fire home from the edge of the area to equalise.
However, this spurred the Greens on and they secured the points with two goals in four minutes. First Carl McCluskey headed home, following which Jefferson Louis scored a lovely curling effort from 20 yards. Shortly before the two goals Adam Wallace, in his first start, had hit the crossbar.
