There were no late Christmas presents for Hendon supporters this afternoon as the Greens went down to a 1-0 defeat at Wingate & Finchley.

The goal came midway through the first half courtesy of Wingate's new signing Adam Bolle.

Hendon worked hard to get back into the game, with Anthony Thomas firing a thumping shot against the crossbar in the first half probably being the best opportunity, but the Wingate defence held firm to secure all three points.
