Gary McCann was delighted with what he saw at Hayes Lane yesterday afternoon in the 4-1 win over Cray.
He said, "I thought we were excellent and some of our passing was outstanding. After going behind early, we showed great character in coming back into the game. In the last hour we could have scored any number of goals.
"Berkley said he was fouled as he went for the corner, but he then made a great save to keep it at 1-0. After we equalised, we never looked like losing.
"There wasn't a bad performance from anyone. The two full-backs, Chris Seeby and Jack Bennett, were outstanding in their links with Dave Diedhiou and Tony Taggart, James Fisher and Casey Maclaren worked really well in the middle of the back four and Kevin Maclaren and Lee O'Leary dominated in the middle of the pitch.
"Carl McCluskey and Jefferson Louis were too much for the Cray defence. Carl's pass for Jefferson's second goal was outstanding; he is such an athlete."
