It was another frustrating home game for Hendon this evening as they were beaten 2-1 by Billericay Town, with all three goals coming in the first 11 minutes.
The visitors took the lead in the 6th minute when Ricky Sappleton, younger brother of former Hendon defender Pat, spotted Charlie Horlock off his line and scored a beautiful lob.
Four minutes later the Greens were back on level terms when a James Fisher cross was turned home by Dave Diedhiou, but within a minute Sappleton had restored the lead that Billericay would hold on to.
Hendon had plenty of possession, and indeed did get the bal into the danger area plenty of times with over a dozen corners, but it was one of those nights when the ball just wouldn't run for them.
